Hello,For the past two weeks I have been trying to troubleshoot an office network issue. Office Network slows down after 6-8 hours Networking. Thanks to Jonathan Johnson for the heads up on here. The screen capture I did for them walked them thru, and they all were able to change back to default browser. So frustrating, but at least there is a workaround for our small office of 50 users. Yes we are all on the same build with all the same updates and default browser set in Win 10 settings. What type of batches, I don't know, but a few days after I posted this, several users that didn't have the option suddenly did. Called MS tech support and they said it is being pushed in batches. ![]() ![]() Have you verified they have their chosen browser set as default there as well? Have you confirmed they're on the same build as the others that have the option? Also, if they were on an older build that didn't have the option, then Outlook should still honor whatever browser is set as the default in Default Apps. I'd have to guess those users are still on an older build that doesn't have the option. I attached a screenshot of what they/I see. I tried a quick repair, checked for updates, rebooted, etc. I checked default apps, and they had no default for email, so i changed it to Outlook, but that didn't help. I checked and sure enough, they do not have any options. HOWEVER, now i have 2 people so far that say there are no options under Link Handling. I haven't found an option in group policy yet, and I've checked the templates that were released three days ago.ĮDIT: I found this group policy option, but it doesn't seem to control this setting. I've run into several users who've been flustered by this especially when an emailed link opens in Edge instead of their preferred browser, and Edge doesn't have cookies or login information saved that their preferred browser does.įind the option in File - Options - Advanced - Link Handling - "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in: By default, this is set to Microsoft Edge (because, of course, Microsoft can).
